Oxford City beat Swindon Spitfires 4-0 in the Oxford Mail Girls Under 15 Red League top-of-the-table encounter.

The leaders proved too much for the second-placed visitors in the first game since the leagues split.

City squandered early chances to take a grip on the game. But they finally broke the deadlock on 18 minutes with Lauren Page turning in Lily Hernandez’s corner.

City added a second five minutes from half time, with Page producing a cool finish with her left foot.

The hosts went 3-0 up two minutes into the final half, with a piece of brilliance from Shelley Knight.

City added a fourth with another super goal from Knight.

Kidlington beat Highworth Town 7-0 in their first game for over a month, thanks to a hat-trick from Casey Brennan.

The home side led 3-0 at half time and never looked back.

Rosie McCabe (2), Cloe Woodward and Emily Young sealed their tally.
