GIRLS' FOOTBALL: High fives as Summertown capture title in super style

OXFORD MAIL GIRLS LEAGUE

Summertown Stars celebrated becoming Under 10 champions with a 5-3 home win over Wantage.

Leschea Guiste (2), Anna Hamerow (2) and Lulu Von Pander netted for Summertown with Rose Kent replying.

Chinnor took the honours in the derby clash at home to Thame in the Under 16s, winning 3-0.

Holly Blake, Jo Taylor and Elle Kaplicz scored the goals.

Oxford City delivered a perfect ten without reply at Summertown Stars in the Under 15 league.

It took City just minutes to unlock the Stars defence, through Lauren Page, then the floodgates opened.

Lily Hernandez (3), Shelley Knight (3), Dara Austin, Ellie Larkin and Megan Thorpe added to the woe of the battling Stars outfit.

Didcot Casuals cruised to a 5-0 victory at Carterton Town, with goals from Charlotte Guppy (2), Becci Bostock (2) and Amelie De Vazelhes.

Chloe Scanlon paraded some great skills as she hit a four-timer in Highworth’s 10-0 home win over Kingham.

Mia Mugford registered a hat-trick and Charlotte Weisinger a brace with the scoring finished off by an own goal.

Bloxham led Tower Hill Vixens through Emily Parker after three minutes and never looked back in the Under 14s league game.

The hosts romped home 7-0 with Parker adding a second to strikes from Rosie Gowing (2), Jenna Owen, Natalie Sansom, Rosie Gowing and Jemma Welling.

Kidlington eased to an 11-0 win at Carterton.

Lucy Durham (3), Amberley Vircavs (3), Milly Simmonds (2), Abi Haynes (2) and Elea-nor Whitfield made it tough for Carterton, who battled on gamely.

Annie Mundy’s brace inside five minutes was enough to give Stonesfield Strikers a 2-0 Under 13 home success over Barton United.

Barton were also beaten 3-0 by Tower Hill Vixens, who netted through Isabelle Henthorn, Marianne Hauer and Lauren Hooper.

Tower Hill Vixens edged out Kidlington Hawks 1-0 in their Under 12s home clash, Lily Sweet scoring the only goal of the game.

Molly Jones (4) and Jasmin Nassar (3) steered Oxford City to a 9-0 home win over Kidlington.

Millie Collier added a brace to ensure City kept the pressure on Under 11 leaders Quarry.

Tower Hill Vixens came from 3-0 down to defeat Summertown Stars 5-4.

Sinead Newman (2), Emma Bartlett, Milly Wilkinson and Georgia Smith grabbed the hosts goals, with Allissa Satenau (2) and Sofia Mori (2) replying.
