OXFORD MAIL GIRLS LEAGUE

BENSON United hit seven goals for the second week running, finishing 7-0 winners at home to Carterton Town in the Under 14 League.

Strikes from Emily Soffe, Emily Bailey, Hollie Smith and Amy Loveridge gave the hosts a 4-0 lead at half time.

After the break, Bailey netted a second with Alana Jones and Ellie Seares also on target.

An Abi Haynes brace gave leaders Kidlington a 2-1 win in their-top-of-the table clash with Swindon Spitfires.

Haynes put the hosts 2-0 up before Swindon pulled a goal back through Natalie Gilbert to set up a tight finish.

Kiera Isaac hit five goals to give Oxford Bluebirds a 6-2 home win over Bloxham in the Under 15 League.

The visitors took an early lead through Catherine Howse, but Isaac went on to notch a first-half hat-trick.

Howse scored again for Bloxham at the start of the second half, but Isaac found the net twice more and Alexia Barry also registered.

Ailie Lynn scored a hat-trick as Didcot Casuals beat Bardwell 8-0.

Charlotte Guppy scored a brace for the hosts, with Katie Richardson, Becca Cox and Rhi Weller also netting.

Kidlington were 8-0 victors at Summertown Stars, a phenomenal first-half display giving them an unassailable 5-0 lead at the intreval.

Rosie McCabe opened the scoring from the spot to get things going, with Cloe Woodward going on to bag a treble and Casey Brenna scoring twice.

Megan Rayment and Zoe Chung were also on the scoresheet.

In the Under 16/17 League, leaders Chinnor won 2-0 at Wantage. Aimee O’Connor and Jo Taylor got the goals.

Stonesfield Strikers staged a late comeback to share the spoils with local rivals Kidlington in a pulsating 3-3 Under 13 League draw.

Katie Appleton gave Stonesfield an early lead, but that sparked the hosts into action, with Holly Pike and a brace from Eva Wallace giving Kidlington a commanding 3-1 advantage at the break.

Hannah Calvert pulled one back in the second half for the Strikers and Annie Mundy found an equaliser in the dying minutes.

League leaders Tower Hill Vixens got back to winning ways with a 3-0 home victory over Barton United.

Isabelle Henthorn gave Vixens the lead and Marianne Hauer and Lauren Hooper made sure of the points.

In the Under 12 League, Tower Hill Vixens won 4-0 at Kidlington Harriers, who were only able to field eight players.

Leah Jordon Cooper scored twice, while Holly Evans and Millie Hartwell were also on target for Vixens.

Carterton were beaten 7-0 at league leaders Swindon Spitfires, thanks to goals from Aimee Prinze (3), Morgan Ly Culley, Shannon King, Chloe Neate and Lara Wilson.

OXFORD Mail Girls League sides will face the Hertfordshire Girls Football Partnership on Sunday at Welwyn Garden City FC. The under 14 match kicks off at 10.30am and under 16s at 1.30pm.
