FOOTBALL: Deadly duo give Kidlington a lift

Hat-tricks from Milly Simmonds and Lucy Durham helped Kidlington to an impressive 12-0 home win over Carterton Town to take over at the top of the Oxford Mail Girls Under 14 League.
Amberly Vircavs and Abi Haynes each netted a brace, while Kylie Pearson and Nicola Vincent were also on target.
Tower Hill Vixens and Bloxham battled out a tightly fought 1-1 draw.
Abigail Greenfield netted for Tower Hill with Emily Parker replying.
Goals either side of half-time from Emily Bailey and Amy Loveridge continued Benson United’s perfect start to the season as they defeated Swindon Spitfires 2-0 at home.
Under 13 League leaders Tower Hill Vixens ground out a 1-0 victory away at Banbury United, Isabelle Henthorn finding the net midway through the second half for Vixens.
Kidlington had to come from behind to beat Barton United 5-1 after Sienna Sutton gave the visitors an early lead.
But the hosts struck back with goals from Eva Wallace and Libby Davidson, as well as a hat-trick Emily Barber.
Jo Taylor struck five times for Chinnor in their impressive 11-1 win over Wantage in the Under 16 League – scoring four in the opening 20 minutes.
Sarah Dougall was also among the goals with a hat-trick.
Aimee O’Connor, Lauren Powell and May Allen also scored for the hosts.
A Jessica Byles hat-trick helped Summertown Stars to a 5-0 win at Carterton Town to make it three wins from three in the Under 15 League.
Lucy Jenner and Flora Kempton also netted for the visitors.
Kidlington were unable to stop Swindon Spitfires from maintaining their perfect start to the season after the Wiltshire side ran out 4-0 winners.
Goals from Megan Larkin, Katie Dellow, Poppy Cottrill and Daniella Granato did the damage.
They lead Oxford City in the table on goal difference, after City picked-up an impressive 2-1 win at Didcot Casuals.
Lauren Page and Ellie Larkin struck just after the break for City, before Becca Cox netted for the hosts to ensure a tense end to the encounter.
Oxford City were 8-0 winners at Kidlington Hawks, thanks to braces from Emily Green, Holly Hunter and Amanda Osando.
Tegan Partlett and Lanaya Ward were also on target.
Kidlington Harriers had no answer to Swindon Spitfires, who ran out 12-0 winners with goals from Aimee Prinzi (4), Rebecca Chitolie (3), Morgan Ly Culley (2), Shannon King (2) and Chloe Neate.
Carterton Town were 6-1 winners at home to Wantage.
Ellie Walecki, Ruby Colleton, Lauren Warnes and Laura Macgregor were on target, adding to a brace from Ellie Jones.
The Wantage consolation came via an own goal.
A second-half Sofia Mori strike gave Summertown Stars a 1-0 victory at home to Stonesfield Strikers after a closely-fought match.
Sasha Hadley found the net just after the break to earn Grove Challengers a hard-fought 1-0 triumph at Kidlington, to secure their first points of the season.
