OXFORD MAIL GIRLS LEAGUE

TAYA McCalmon and Molly Wiggins both scored four-timers to propel Kidlington to a 9-1 victory over Barton United in Group B of the Under 12 League Cup.

Nicole Neilson-Pike put Kidlington ahead before McCalmon and Wiggins took centre stage. Xantia Day replied.

The other Group B match saw Banbury United lose 5-1 at Brackley Town.

Rebecca Tuckey netted for Banbury, but goals from Evie Hawkins (3), Fran Bateman and Molly Rylott-Byrd won it.

Didcot Casuals won 4-0 at Stonesfield Strikers in Group A, with Megan Osborne (2), Bethany Hastings and Bethany Ridgeway on target.

Under 16

Anna Jiminez led the way for St Edmunds with a five-timer as they won 11-0 at home to Kennington.

April England (2), Alice Finch, Jennifer Dingwall, Meggie Crawford and Sophie Tatford completed their tally.

Hannah Vincent scored twice, including a penalty, as Kidlington defeated hosts Tower Hill 4-0.

Zoe Taylor and Beth Hawtin were also on target.

Under 15

Bexx O’Shea lashed home the last-minute winner to give Thame a 1-0 victory at home to Carterton.

Thame goalkeeper Shannon Bennell had earlier made a great save to keep it level.

A goal in each half from Jo Taylor was enough to give Chinnor a 2-0 home win over Oxford Bluebirds.

Under 14

Shelley Knight grabbed a four-timer as Oxford City saw off visitors Stonesfield Strikers 9-0.

City, whose other scorers were Lara Althorp (2), Lauren Page, Megan Thorpe and Lily Hernandez, led 8-0 after a storming first half.

Ailie Lynn’s hat-trick helped Didcot Casuals to a 4-1 home success against Bardwell.

Rhiannon Weller also netted, with Charlotte May replying.

Kidlington won 3-1 at home to Swindon Spitfires thanks to goals from Isla Hastings, Ellie Larkin and Rachel Newman. Megan Larkin replied.

Under 13

Benson United opened their League Cup campaign with a 3-0 victory over visiting Wantage in Group A.

Ellie Seares, Hollie Smith and Amy Loveridge scored the goals.

Abi Haynes’s brace saw hosts Kidlington beat Bloxham 2-1, Emily Parker replying.

In Group B, Tower Hill Vixens lost 3-0 at Swindon Spitfires, for whom Natalie Goodright and two own goals made the difference.

Under 11

Millie Hall’s brace earned Carterton a 2-1 victory at Tower Hill in Group A of the League Cup.

Melissa Havord pulled one back, but Carterton held on.
