Steve Foreman scored an amazing eight goals as Woodstock Wanderers soared to the top of Critchleys UTV League Division 1 with a spectacular 13-1 thumping of Village Inn.

Sennan Simmons netted a hat-trick for the hosts, with Chris Marsh and Luke Brennan also on target.

Max Palmer replied for Village Inn.

Iffley Harriers went down to a heavy 5-1 defeat at home to Blackbird in the Premier Division, despite taking an early lead through Dominic Tolputt.

Kieran Davis levelled before half-time with an inswinging free-kick and after the break the visitors ran riot.

Chris Fontaine put Blackbird ahead from the penalty spot after a foul on Yassine Lamzini, followed by goals from Marlon James, Lamzini and captain Liam O’Callaghan.

New Club gave themselves a three-point advantage at the top of Division 2 with a comprehensive 6-0 win at Exeter Rangers.

Adam Cox had given Cholsey the lead before half-time.

But Sporting’s Conor Patton equalised to force additional time, with Woods leaving it late to seal victory for the visitors.
