CRITCHLEYS UTV LEAGUE - CUP ROUND-UP

NORTHWAY Res battled into the semi-finals of the Ridgeway Cup, but they had to do it the hard way against Forest Hill.

They scraped home 4-3 after extra time, a remarkable victory considering they had goalkeeper Luke Watts sent off on 15 minutes.

Watts brought down Matt Wigley, allowing Forest Hill to lead from the penalty spot.

It was 3-3 after normal time with goals coming from Northway’s Sean Herman, Aaron Williams and Joe Cook. Forest Hill responded through Matt Wigley, Lewis Gerring and John Ashton.

Northway’s battling ten men won the day from the spot when Aaron Williams was brought down and Cook stepped up to get his second goal of the game.

Woodstock Wanderers won 4-3 against The New Club thanks to goals from Steve Foreman, David Bray, Carl Heaven and Dave Villiers.

The New Club replied through Chris Kent, Jay Hill and Antony Clarke Zubry Oxford enjoyed a rare winning experience when they thumped Village Inn 5-0 in the Devenney Cup quarter-finals.

All their goals came in the second half with Michal Filipowicz (2), Bartosz Hoczyk, Andrzej Krason and Tomasz Samoluk making their mark.

White Horse sent Railway Wheatley tumbling out 3-1.

Wheatleys struck through Elliot O’Brien but his effort was more than matched by Jack Hackett, Ashley Brogan and Niall Hodgkiss.
