ABINGDON Exiles were narrowly edged out 1-0 at home to local rivals White Horse Abingdon in the third round, writes DARYL RIDGLEY.

In another encounter between two Division 2 sides, Forest Hill defeated Woodstock Wanderers 2-1 thanks to an own goal and a Josh Gonzalez effort.

This was extended after the break by Stan Carruthers, Ben Curtis and player-manager Caymen Mathews, who came out from his usual goalkeeping position to score the fifth.

Josh Carter, Dean Maycock and Wayne Waldron were all on target for Black Swan, but it was not enough as they succumbed to a 5-3 defeat at home to Division 1 side Railway Wheatley.

Village Inn cruised to a commanding 8-1 victory over Division 3 basement side Dilly United.

Max Palmer and Michael Hinkin each netted twice, while Colin Royal, Stuart Evans, David Murphy and Chris Howlett also scored for the hosts.
