Tom Wilson capped a 3-0 win for Railway Wheatley away at Rutherford in Critchleys UTV League Division 1 when his mis-hit cross evaded everyone and looped into the net, adding to earlier efforts from Sean Liptrot and Tom Nelson.

AFC Valley came from behind to beat Sporting Headington Academicals in Division 2, as a David Marsh goal and a brace from Shaun Smith cancelled out Dale Ashman’s early opener for the hosts.

Green Tree recorded an impressive 9-1 victory over rivals Sutton Wanderers, with a Martin Dawson four-timer, a hat-trick from Chris Wales, a brace for Chris Phillips and another goal from Criag Kirtland doing the damage for the hosts.

Sean Harman hit a treble to help Northway Res to a 5-1 victory over Abingdon Exiles, with Ryan Barrett and Joe Cook also on the scoresheet. Josh Hays scored a consolation for the visitors.

Village Inn continued their impressive start to the season with a 4-2 home win over White Horse Abingdon.

Checkendon Exiles’ poor start continued as they were beaten 10-1 away to Black Swan, with Dan Hosier, Craig List, Nathan Carters, Gary Brown, Luke Dewar and Dave Carter adding to Daniel Cox’s hat-trick. Dave Woodley replied.

Shane Proberts hit an incredible eight goals in Abba Athletic’s 10-2 thrashing of Dilly United in Division 3, with Mark Goode and Ricky Fallon also finding the target for the hosts.
