HANBOROUGH lifted the John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield for the first time after they trounced fellow Witney FA & District side FC Hollybush 5-0 in the final at Kidlington, writes Anthony Barlow.

The victory, which followed their Premier Division title success, was particularly poignant as John Fathers was a stalwart of Hanborough.

Nick Rose, Charlie McCullough, Sam Wright, Pete Barnicoat and a Jonny Fletcher penalty saw them home, with Combe replying through Leke Shodunke (2) and Matt Baker.

Aston Res were relegated from Division 2 after a 2-0 defeat at home to Witney Wanderers, whose scorers were James Bason and Ben Border.

Siege FC wrapped up the Division 3 title after edging out Wootton 1-0, Ben Reardon scoring the goal.
