TOM McCudden scored twice to give Freeland a 3-1 victory over rivals Hanborough in the Oxfordshire FA Charity Cup final.

More than 400 spectators were at Oxford City’s Court Place Farm for a Good Friday derby which did not disappoint.

Just two minutes were on the clock when Stuart Hole headed in Conor Allmond’s corner, dislocating a finger in the process.

Hanborough hit back on the quarter-hour mark.

Jack Morton took advantage of some sloppy defending to fire a low shot under Adam Lonsdale.

The striker quickly came close to a second, but this time Lonsdale made a superb stop to turn the shot on to the woodwork.

After the break McCudden took centre stage, putting Freeland in front again after collecting Jason Lonsdale’s pass.

Hanborough should have levelled again, but Aston Leach smashed over a glorious chance from four yards.

It proved costly, as Freeland finished strongly.

Lewis White headed an Allmond free-kick against an upright, before McCudden made sure of the result from the penalty spot.
