CROPREDY remain top of the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division after a 3-1 victory at home to fellow title contenders Kennington Athletic.

Kennington trailed 2-0 to a quick brace from Ryan Carter, but Rob Andrews pulled a goal back with the last kick of the first half.

Dan Watkin restored the hosts’ two-goal advantage just after half-time.

Minutes later, Kennington were reduced to ten men, Adam Croad receiving his marching orders after a late challenge on Sean Snelling.

Launton Sports picked up their first win of the season, 2-1 away to fellow strugglers Horspath.

After going behind in the first half, the visitors levelled through Sam Houlihan following fine play by Chris Johnson and Ben Cooke.

Their winning goal came in the 70th minute, when Joe Deery played in Luke Phillips, who fired home.

He added his second from the penalty spot. Their third was scored by Liam Harris.

DORCHESTER had to resist a strong comeback from visitors Chequers before edging home 4-3 in the Oxford City FA.

Two goals from George Kay and efforts from Nathan Kerry and Jordan Lyne put the hosts 4-0 up just after half-time.

But Chequers stormed back with a penalty from Jelroy Constant and strikes from Bilia Khan and Martino Ventriglia to leave the hosts hanging on at the end.

Masons Arms ran out 5-1 winners away to Thame United Churches thanks to goals from Jordan Veale (2), Tim Small (2) and Ellis Horwood, while Lee Smith replied for Thame.

A first-half hat-trick from Ben Green set up Union Street’s 4-2 victory at home to Headington Butchers.

Jake Clark and Bradley Rowbottom brought the visitors back into contention, before Jake Cunning’s strike sealed Street’s success.

Florence Park won 7-3 away to Great Milton Res to stay top, thanks to Jordan Marsh (3), Ryan Gibbons, Daniel Johnson, Ryan Long and Ryan Simpson. Henry Horton (2) and Ryan Hicks replied.
