CHEQUERS moved up to second place in the Oxford City FA League after coming from 3-0 and 4-3 down to beat Thame United Churches 7-4.

A pulsating game saw the hosts score three times in the opening ten minutes through Lee Smith, Nick Barrett and an own goal.

Chequers hit back through strikes from Aaron Williams and Jelroy Constant to trail 3-2 at the break.

Constant levelled soon after the restart, only for Smith to restore the hosts’ lead.

But Williams equalised and further strikes from Constant and Williams – both completing hat-tricks – put Chequers in charge,

And their victory was sealed when a Denal Thomas penalty made it 7-4.

Henry Horton proved Great Milton’s hat-trick hero in their 4-2 win at South Park Rangers.

Horton scored twice to put his side ahead in the bottom-of-the-table clash.

However, the hosts hit back to level through a penalty from Orcan Turhan and a headed corner from Spurgeon Chisulo.

However, Hicks put Milton back in front before Horton completed his treble to seal the three points.

Union Street beat high-flying East Oxford 6-2 with James Cunning (2), Matty Brandish, Alex Pratchett, Craig Barrett and Adam Smith on target. James and Keith Bruce replied for East Oxford.

Jordan Lyne hit a hat-trick as Dorchester won 8-4 at home to Masons Arms despite falling behind.

George Kay (2), Jack Rowe and two Alex Kerry spot-kicks ensured victory.

Ellis Horwood (2), Jordan Veale and Tim Small netted for Masons.
