FC HOLLYBUSH were crowned Witney & District League Division 1 champions as they saw off fourth-placed Aston 3-1 to clinch the title, writes HARRY ROSE.

Goals from Danny Brearley, Steve Holder and Luke Turner gave unbeaten Hollybush the points, with Ryan Colleton replying.

They took the title with four games to spare.

Carterton Rangers also secured promotion with a 4-1 win over struggling Milton.

Adam Lee, Carl Shirley, Dan Hall and Joe Collett all found the net for the home side, with Jim Littlewood replying.

In the Premier Division, Matt Baker’s hat-trick helped Combe to a 5-1 win at Minster Lovell.

Steve Smith and Angus Ibbitson were also on target, while Jonny Fletcher replied.

Dan Bott scored the only goal in Chipping Norton Town’s 1-0 win over Spartan Rangers.

Premier Division side Charlbury Town fell to a shock 4-2 defeat at home to Kirtlington in the first round of the Senior Cup.

A brace from Nathan Kelly and goals from Jordan Parker and Kaylum Patterson saw Kirtlington through, with Sean Gilbert and Matt Thompson replying.

Tower Hill remain a point clear at the top of Division 2 following a 3-1 victory at Brize Norton.

Jack Scott led the way with a double, with Lewis Bartlett also on target.

Steve Marshall netted Brize Norton’s reply.

Tower Hill Stars kept their promotion bid alive with a 3-1 win over Middle Barton.

A brace for Craig Mays and a Will Graham effort saw Stars take the points, John Umney replying.

Sam Philpott made it 20 goals for the season as his hat-trick helped Spartan Rangers Res to a 3-0 home win against Kingham All Blacks.

Nick Angus bagged a brace to help Aston Res to a 3-2 victory against visitors Corinthians in Division 3.

Tim Senior was also on target for the hosts, with Harry Purfitt’s double for Corinthians proving in vain.

Witney Royals Res moved six points clear of the drop zone after a 5-0 win against fellow strugglers Bourton Rovers.

Oliver Carpenter struck twice, with Josh Taylor, Dan Townsend and Dale Howlett also on target.

Milton Res notched up their 12th win of the season with a 5-2 win over Wootton Res in Division 4.

Dan Hooton and Louis Breaks each bagged a brace with Scott Joy netting No 5.

Mark Mumford and Craig Barker replied for Wootton.
