WALLINGFORD Town A fell victim to a cup shock as they were dumped out of the North Berks League’s AG Kingham Cup with a 1-0 defeat to Division 5 side Coleshill United Res, writes RICHARD UNDERWOOD.

Kalem Marsh scored the only goal of the game to put the visitors into the semi-finals.

Jamie Dutton scored twice as Grove Rangers Res maintained their unbeaten record with a 2-0 win at Sutton Courtenay Res.

Saxton Rovers Res won 4-3 away to Marcham Res, thanks to a Connor Spraggs double and goals from Liam Smith and Niall Hodgkins.

Chris Shahab, Anthony Munt and Leighton Jackson replied for Marcham.

Long Wittenham Athletic Res booked their semi-final place with a comfortable 3-0 victory at North Oxford Res, courtesy of goals from Callum Bowler, Will Vaulkins and Daryoush Kianzad.

In Division 2, goals from Paul Powell and Gareth Fenton gave Harwell Village a 2-1 win at home to Dorchester.

Jack Rowe was on target for the visitors.

Hanney United moved up to fourth with a 3-1 away win over Faringdon Town Res, Matt Bishop scoring twice and James Bishop adding a third.

Division 3 leaders Ardington & Lockinge were held to a third successive 2-2 draw, this time at home to Uffington United.

Jamie Gregory and Jamie Wilkins netted for the hosts, but they were left frustrated as Pete Byrne’s brace secured Uffington a share of the spoils.

Second-placed Benson Lions closed the gap at the top to just two points with a comfortable 4-0 victory at Highworth Town Development.

Alex Smallshaw struck twice and there were also goals for Matt Turl and Jordan Jones.

Grove Rangers and Watlington Town played out a high-scoring 3-3 draw.

Jason McDowell scored twice for Grove alongside a Nick Gordon effort, but a brace from Adam Holloway and a Conor B’layachi strike ensured the points were shared.

Blewbury extended their lead at the top of Division 4 to nine points with a 6-0 thrashing of hosts Dorchester Res.

Arran Gray hit a hat-trick, Harry Timms scored twice and Daniel Knapp was also on target.

There was also a treble for Tyrun Mayall as Stanford in the Vale Res won 5-1 at Hagbourne United.

Ryan Bradbury and Adam Finney also scored for the visitors, while Charlie Lovegrove scored Hagbourne’s consolation.

Faringdon Town A claimed a 3-3 draw at home to Cumnor Minors in Division 5.

Stewart Evans, Darryl Johnston and Jamie Larman scored for Cumnor, while Darryl Curtis (2) and Jason Evans replied for the hosts.

Meanwhile, VALE of White Horse Schools Under 14s bagged a place in the semi-finals of the Williams Cup with a 6-3 victory over Havant at Milton United.

Sam Bailey netted a first-half hat-trick as Vale eased to a 4-1 lead at the break after Ryan Hawkins had given them an early lead.

Bailey notched his first from the penalty spot, adding a second moments later and completing his treble with a spectacular overhead kick.

Two strikes from Harry Evans early in the second half extended the lead.

But the concession of two sloppy goals in the closing stages took the shine off an otherwise excellent victory.

Vale will entertain Southampton in the semi-final.
