FREELAND stormed back from 2-0 down to beat visitors Cropredy 3-2 to reach the third round of the Oxfordshire Senior Cup.
Cropredy led 2-0 shortly after half-time.
Freeland pulled one back through centre-half Simon Calley’s header, while lee keyes made it 2-2 from the penalty spot.
Veteran Keyes proved the match-winner late on with a cheeky back-heel into the net.
l IN a remarkable Oxford City FA Premier Cup tie, Chequers won 5-4 on penal- ties at home to Headington Butchers, after a 7-7 draw after extra time.
Chequers’ goals came from Otis Woodward (3), Martino Ventriglia (2), Kelvin Sherman and Aaron Williams, while Mohammed Ali (2), Sam Weitzel (2), William Coles (2) and Dan Maloney were on the mark for Butchers.
In the Couling Cup, Lusitanos Oxford won a pulsating contest 8-4 at home to Masons Arms, thanks to strikes from Marcelo Guilherme (3), Joao Almeida, Edinho de Jesus, Tiago Pato (pen), Vinicius Alves and Pedro Gomes.
Masons came back with goals from Jacob Minton, Lewis Evans, Jamie Hutchins and Chris Froin.
Andy Irvine scored the other goal for East Oxford, whose keeper Keith Bruce made a super penalty save.
In the league, Union Street drew 1-1 at home to Summertown AFC. Skipper Marty Brandish’s free kick gave the home side the lead before the visitors levelled late on through Max Rothwell.
St Ebbes Headington won 4-1 away to Oxford Brookes University, whose goal came from Andy Herbert.
