CHEQUERS overcame rivals Masons Arms 7-3 at home in the Oxford City FA’s Couling Cup, in a feisty match which included four penalties.
Two Mason Horwood goals – one of which came from the spot – as well as Jacob Minton’s header gave the visitors a 3-2 lead at the break.
But after being reduced to ten men early in the second half, they collapsed to their eventual heavy defeat.
Bradley Fine and Shane Roche both grabbed a brace, including one each from the penalty spot, alongside goals from Craig Dean, David Jennings and Aaron Williams for the home side.
In the Premier Division, East Oxford won 2-1 at Fairview.
Dominic Everett and Lee Paintin netted for the visitors and although Fairview pulled one back late on they slid to a fifth straight loss.
