BERINSFIELD and Kintbury Rangers will face off in a North Berks League Premier Division title showdown on Saturday, writes PHIL ANNETS.

Kintbury need to beat their promotion rivals to have any chance of winning the league.

Berinsfield are four points behind, but have two games in hand.

Both contenders go into the key contest on the back of comfortable victories.

David Murphy (2) and Max Palmer netted in Berinsfield’s 3-0 win over Long Wittenham Athletic.

Kintbury won 4-0 at Drayton, thanks to braces from Shaun Thorp and Charlie Allsop.

Elliott Westwood scored twice as Wallingford Town moved up to third with a 5-0 win over Crowmarsh Gifford.

Connor Mattimore, Sam Larking and Ashley Searle also found the net.

Liam Humphries and Derren Harrington helped Faringdon Town beat Abingdon Town 2-1.

Niall Hodgkins grabbed Abingdon’s consolation.

Ardington & Lockinge and Saxton Rovers shared the points in a 2-2 draw.

Liam Eltham and Tom North found the net, with Saxton’s Liam Smith and Louis Bloomfield responding.

Division 2 contenders East Hendred lost 4-2 to Marcham.

Stuart Armstrong, Matt Banks, Jonny Lloyd and Tom Larman found the net.

James Bowsher and Mike Farrelly were on target for East Hendred.

Steventon were beaten 5-0 at Burghclere, with Tom Smallridge, Nathan Rivers, Luke Mason, James Herbert and Alex Smith all netting.

Abingdon Reserves were thumped 6-0 by Newbury Reserves with Andy Bullock grabbing a hat-trick.

Richard Lukacs, Mitchell Willmoth and Craig Hill also scored.

Harwell Village lost ground in the Division 3 promotion race with a 1-1 draw at home to Grove Rangers.

Paul Churchouse netted for Harwell, with Will McDonald replying.

In Division 4, Uffington United lost 2-1 at home to Kennington Athletic, leaving Ardington & Lockinge Reserves just a point away from claiming the title.

Pete Byrne netted for the hosts, but Kennington won courtesy of Matt Hutton and Rob Andrews.

Stanford in the Vale Reserves cruised to an 8-2 victory over Berinsfield Reserves, with Sid Ashley and Josh Vaughan doubling up.

Andy Munns, Howard Lancaster, Tyrone Mayall and Mackenzie Godfrey also scored for the hosts.

Andie Samson and Mennan Calvo netted in vain.

The two promoted sides met in Division 5, with Wallingford Town Reserves beating champions Lambourn Sports Reserves 3-0.

Mikey Bone (2) and Camden Laver were on target.

East Hendred Reserves reached the AG Kingham Cup final with a 2-1 victory over Ardington & Lockinge Reserves.

Tom Geach put Hendred ahead in the first half, with Ollie Bailey equalising.

Blake Latimer netted the winner to put Hendred into the final on May 9.

They will face Kintbury, who beat Faringdon Town Reserves 4-2 after extra time.

Faringdon scored two late goals through Josh Forth and Richard Evans to cancel out first-half efforts from Dee Rowswell and Alfie DavisEllard.

An extra-time goal from Craig Bruce and a Rowswell penalty eventually won the tie for Kintbury.
