DUCKLINGTON have the advantage in the Witney & District FA Premier Division survival battle after claiming a 1-1 draw from their crucial clash with fellow strugglers Hanborough, writes ANTHONY BARLOW.

Mike Bolt notched a double for the hosts, who held on for the win despite Paul Read’s goal setting up a nervy ending to the match.

Kingham were relegated from Division 1 as they were thrashed 8-2 at home by league leaders Bourton Rovers, who secured their promotion to the Premier Division.

Dave Gainford, Sam Mattock and Adam Webley bagged two goals apiece for the rampant visitors, alongside goals from Dan Smith and Joe Jarvis. Gaz Price and Eddy Webb replied for Kingham.

Combe maintained their promotion chase with a 2-1 victory at Eynsham SSC.

Matty Walker netted for the hosts, but goals from Simon Baker and Chris Betreen secured the win for Combe.

Milton slipped to fourth and out of the promotion race after being held to a rare goalless draw by FC Mills.

The result did little for the away side’s hopes of avoiding relegation, as they still need maximum points from their last three matches and for other results to go their way.

A single Tom Gregory strike was enough to earn Witney Wanderers a 1-0 home win over Bampton United, while Witney Royals Res were relegated from Division 3 after going down 5-2 at Minster Lovell Res.

Mykel Ryan hit a four-timer for the hosts and David Souch also scored, with Mikey Piper and Gary Nicholson replying in vain for Royals.

Eynsham A were promoted from Division 4, despite being beaten 5-2 at Wychwood Forest. Steve Harris, Neil Phipps, Mike Phipps, John Wood and Jason Hornsby were all on target as the hosts thrashed the league leaders, whose goals came from Oliver Hinchcliffe and Declan Green.

However, the title is still up for grabs as Tower Hill Res closed the gap to just three points with a 5-1 home win over Kingham Res.

Will Graham hit a hat-trick, with Adam Townsend and Dave Meredith also scoring, and Dan Lay on the mark for Kingham.
