Horspath reached the Oxfordshire Charity Cup final for the first time with a 3-1 win over Hailey at Thame United.

Jay Hill tapped in Aaron Laman’s low cross to give Horspath the lead after just five minutes of the semi-final.

The Oxfordshire Senior Lea- gue outfit doubled their advantage ten minutes later when Hill was fouled in the box, and Tom Chase drilled the penalty into the corner of the net.

Horspath went further ahead early in the second half when Sam Gordon powered a header in at the back post.

Both keepers made a couple of great saves before Witney & District FA side Hailey pulled one back when Jack Wood raced through to score.

However, Horspath held on to take victory, and now await the winners of this Saturday’s second semi-final between Heyford Athletic and Oxford University Press, with the final due to take place at Thame in April.
