LOWLY Watlington Town went down 4-2 at North Berks League Division 1 leaders Kintbury Rangers, writes PHIL ANNETS.

Pete Ashman and Wayne Croxford netted for the visitors, but a brace apiece from Adam Drake and Charlie Allsop gave Kintbury victory.

Brad Gill fired a four-timer as Division 2 leaders Stanford in the Vale demolished Kintbury Rangers Res 7-0.

Kieran McCarthy scored twice and Daryl Boulter was also on target as the hosts stretched their lead at the top to 14 points.

Adam Sly hit a hat-trick in Coleshill United’s 6-1 win at Burghclere.

James Tranter notched a brace and Andy Lytham also scored, with Tom Smallridge providing the home side’s lone reply.

Kevin Allen netted for Steventon, but they lost 4-1 at home to Sutton Courtenay for whom Rhys Griffiths struck twice and Dave Naylor and Mike Hooton also scored.

In Division 3, Dorchester Res recorded their first league win in ten matches with a 5-0 home victory over Union Street.

Josh Nicholls and Billy Warner both scored two, while Ben Parry grabbed the other.

Paul Powell and Gareth Fenton both struck twice for Harwell Village in their 6-2 home success over Blewbury.

Jack Powell and Tom Fisher also scored for the home side, with Steve Hedges and Will Vaukins responding.

Benson Lions were beaten 3-2 at home to Hungerford Town Swifts despite goals from Adam McLeish and Luke Willis.

Ardington & Lockinge Res opened up a nine-point gap at the top of Division 4 as they scraped a 6-5 victory in a thrilling top-of-the-table clash at second-placed Uffington United.

Nick Wilkins netted twice alongside goals from Ollie O’Hanlon, Dan Lewis, Jonny Eudell and Jamie Wilkins for the victors.

Braces from Luke Murphy and Mark Jones, plus a Ben Cousins goal were in vain for Uffington.

Mason Churton got five goals as Hagbourne United romped to an 8-0 home win over Steventon Res.

Josh Witts, Jake Strong and Mike Learoyd were all also on the scoresheet.

Ashley Searle struck four times as Wallingford Town beat fellow Division 1 side Drayton 5-1 at home in the Charity Shield quarter-finals.

Andy Allum hit their fifth, while Pat Walsh netted an early second-half equaliser for Drayton that proved to be no more than a consolation.
