SAXTON Rovers leapfrogged hosts Watlington Town at the foot of the North Berks League Division 1 table with a comprehensive 4-1 victory, writes PHIL ANNETS.

Steve Pitson bagged a brace and Kyle Allsworth and Lloyd Callaghan also scored, with Zach Gallagher replying in vain.

Mark Ingram’s brace and a David Murphy strike gave second-placed Berinsfield a 3-2 home victory over Faringdon Town.

Robbie Harrington and Ryan Bradbury were on target for the visitors.

Dorchester went down to a heavy 5-0 defeat at leaders Kintbury Rangers, with Charlie Allsop hitting a hat-trick and Sean Thorpe scoring twice.

Tom Baptie’s double couldn’t save Wallingford Town from a 3-2 defeat at home to Abingdon Town.

Dan Cox, Ryan Seamark and Richard Morgan did the damage for the visitors.

Drayton inflicted a fourth successive league defeat on Ardington & Lockinge with a 2-1 away win.

Ashley Seamark and Pat Woodley scored for the visitors, while Luke Fairclough registered for Ardington.

East Hendred moved up to second in Division 2 after a Gareth Cooper double and goals from Ben Sutton and Liam McCullough gave them a 4-0 win at Westminster.

Sutton Courtenay were held to a thrilling 4-4 draw at home to Coleshill United, despite Rhys Griffiths notching a hat-trick for the home side.

Luke Chambers also scored for the hosts, but they had to settle for a point thanks to goals from Dan Kingsley, Elliot Corp, Andy Lynham and Josh Harper for United.

Benson Lions were unable to stop Turnpike Sports stretching their lead at the top of Division 3 to 11 points following a 6-1 home defeat.

Rob Gray’s strike was all Lions had to show for their endeavours as Luke Johnson and Rich Meikle grabbed a hat-trick apiece for the pacesetters.

There was also a treble for Gareth Fenton as Harwell Village won 5-4 at Union Street.

Will Vaukins’s double gave Blewbury a 2-0 win at Dorchester Res.

A Dan Lewis hat-trick, an Ollie Bailey double and a Jamie Wilkins strike saw Division 4 leaders Ardington & Lockinge Res triumph 6-3 at East Hendred Res.
