KIDLINGTON Old Boys won an epic Oxfordshire Charity Cup second round tie at home to West Witney following a 2-2 draw after extra time.

Old Boys twice led through Nicky Middleton and Daniel Jones, but both times they were pegged back as first Kai Merritt and then Chris Hirons levelled.

The tiring visitors’ chances were severely dented during the additional time when Hirons and Carl Austin were both dismissed for second yellow cards.

And it was Kidlington who advanced to the next round as they won 4-3 on penalties.
