A first-half double from Lewis Mitchell gave Broughton & North Newington a comfortable 2-0 victory at home to Freeland in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division.

Mitchell twice got the wrong side of the Freeland defence in the early stages to notch his brace.

Lee Timms struck a late equaliser to give Adderbury Park a 3-3 draw at Horspath.

The hosts looked dominant after taking the lead through a Tom Chase penalty, but after Dean Fuller converted a spot-kick of his own to level, Park gained the advantage with a Josh Reilly header.

Horspath re-established themselves after the break and led again thanks to two Luke Ambler efforts, but with just five minutes to go Timms equalised for the visitors.

Riverside’s five-match winless run came to an end with a 2-1 triumph at Launton Sports.

Jay Johnson scored both Yarnton goals in a 2-0 win at Charlton United.

Andy Glossop’s late goal gave Eynsham Res a 4-3 win at North Oxford Res in Division 2.

An earlier strike from Glossop, as well as goals from Luke Peedel and Steve Dobson, had been matched by efforts from Bratic Maria, Ben Scrivener and Josh Bachelor for the hosts.

Adam Walsh and Nolan Aselford struck twice as Oxford University Press Res thrashed Broughton & North Newington Res 6-0.

Gareth Edwards and James Gray also netted for the home side.

Two-goal Jamie Appleton earned Yarnton Res a 2-2 draw at home to Oakley United Res.

Lawrence Foster and Bradley Newman appeared to have put the visitors in charge after Appleton’s opener, but the Yarnton marksman struck struck again late on.

Horspath Res held unbeaten leaders Mansfield Road Res to a 1-1 stalemate.

The visitors were just ten minutes away from tasting defeat for the first time after Paul Cooper’s opener for Horspath when Luis McGillycuddy’s late free-kick secured a point.
