Masons Arms avenged last week’s Oxfordshire John Fathers Junior Shield defeat to Wheatley Youth with a 2-1 home win over the same opponents in the Oxford City FA.

Kris Bustin put the home side ahead at half-time with Tobi Adepegba doubling the advantage shortly after the break, before Chris Kent pulled one back.

Leaders Blackbird Rovers thrashed Summertown Stars 6-0 to maintain their 100 per cent record this season.

The visitors missed an early penalty and were made to pay as Sean Herman and Wayne Desmond put the hosts two goals up at the break.

A second from Herman, two goals from Aaron Barrett and a Craig Bloomfield strike in the second half completed the rout.
