BROUGHTON & North Newington Res bounced back from an opening defeat in Division 2 to pick up their first points of the season in style with a 4-1 home win over Yarnton Res.
A revitalised Broughton dominated the first half, taking a 3-0 lead into the break thanks to goals from Radek Pajeski, Jake Higham and James Smith.
The second half was less decisive, with Steven Litton pulling one back for Yarnton as well as Smith adding his second of the afternoon for the hosts, who climbed three places to tenth.
Rob Inch’s second-half hat-trick gave Freeland Res a 3-1 win at Chalgrove Res.

Neither side created much in the opening 45 minutes, but after the break Inch came alive.
The Chalgrove defence failed on three separate occasions to deal with balls into the box, allowing Inch to take advantage from close range.
Chalgrove did pull one back late on as Rob Cantwell slotted home his sixth goal of the season, but it was merely a consolation.
League leaders Mansfield Road Res comfortably beat Garsington Res 3-0 at home to extend their lead at the top to seven points.
Michalis Sofroniou and Nick Talbot efforts put them two goals ahead inside the opening 20 minutes.
But they had wait until after the break for the third, with Sam Welham volleying home.
