Instead it is their hosts who now prop up the division after a Pete Ashman hat-trick and goals from Zack Gallagher and Dave Heycock condemned them to a heavy defeat.

Drayton also picked up their first win of the season, beating Ardington & Lockinge 5-4 with Pat Walsh scoring twice and John Walker, Luke Black and Carl Bolton grabbing one each.

Ben Eltham, Jamie Wilkins, Tom Rowe and Luke Faircloth all ultimately scored in vain for the visitors.

Kennington Athletic won 5-3 at home to Hagbourne United, with Andy Dier bagging a brace alongside goals from Jay Morris, Stuart Dunham and Foley Sercombe.

Didcot Eagles lead Division 5 on goal difference as they racked up the goals with a 5-1 win at Hagbourne United Res.

Division 2 side Saxton Rovers Res were destroyed 11-2 at Dorchester Res, of Division 3, with Joe Dixon and Jordan West both scoring hat-tricks.

Ryan Major, Andy Marriott, Adam Jackson and Matt Gilbert also found the net,a]long with an own goal, while strikes by Rob King and Sean Smith were little consolation for the visitors.

Steventon Res were thumped 9-0 at home to Burghclere Res.

Adrian Walters netted a four-timer and Alex Myers scored twice, while Mark Foad, Liam Benham and Dave Driscoll were also among the goals.

Ollie Bailey, Ollie O’Hanlon and Zac Rewcastle goals gave Ardington & Lockinge Res a 3-1 home win over Drayton Res.
