Marston Saints went down to a heavy 5-1 defeat at unbeaten Oakley United in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division after a disastrous second half.

Alex Allen had cancelled out Sean Coles’ opener as the sides went in level at the break.

But the hosts were irresistible after half-time as Coles notched another three and Ryan Binnee added a fifth in the final minute.

In Division 1, North Oxford had two players sent off as they were beaten 5-0 at home by Middleton Cheney, who also had a man dismissed.

North captain David Wyatt was the first to see red for preventing a goalscoring opportunity, with Cheney goalkeeper Adam Jones later receiving his marching orders for squaring up to Marco Cadette, who was then shown his second yellow.

The visitors made the most of their numerical advantage, scoring five unanswered goals through Steven Tynham (2), Ed Somerton, Josh Hart and Tim Jeecock.

Second-half goals from Kristian Thomas and Danny Burrows gave Kidlington Old Boys a 2-0 win at home to Yarnton, who are still searching for their first point.

Leaders Garsington maintained their 100 per cent record with another crushing victory as ten-man Charlton United were thrashed 7-0.

The visitors saw their goalkeeper, Terry Bagnall, dismissed in the first half for handling outside the area and Garsington took advantage as Jelroy Constant grabbed a hat-trick and Andrew McMahon and Ben Curtis helped themselves to two goals each.

Adam Walsh struck twice to give Oxford University Press Res a 2-1 victory over Freeland Res in Division 2.

Walsh put the hosts in front before the break, only for Jamie Flood to equalise, but Walsh was there again to slot home Press’s winner ten minutes from time.

Ryan Cox went from hero to villain for Broughton & North Newington, putting the visitors in front in the first half before being dismissed in the second as they were beaten 3-2 at Yarnton Res.

Cox’s goal was the difference at half-time, but after his sending-off the home side hit back, thanks to a double from substitute Jay Johnston and a third from Jamie Appleton.

James Smith pulled one back for Broughton.

Tom Rowling, James Reeves and Steve Dobson were on target to give Eynsham a 3-0 victory at Charlton United Res – their first win of the season.

Adderbury Park Res won 4-2 at Chalgrove Res, despite falling behind to a Rob Cantwell goal early on.

The visitors struck back, scoring four times through Lee Timmis (2), David Seeney and Louis Winkworth, before Peter Clarke pulled one back from the penalty spot.
