Division 3 side Union Street stunned their higher rivals Lambourn Sports in the first round of the North Berks League Cup, winning 4-2 on penalties after the sides were locked at 3-3.

Liam Griffin, Kieran Watson and Steve Rackham scored for Lambourn, but Union Street matched them with goals from Alex Pratchett (2) and John Barrett.

Kennington Athletic went down 6-0 at home Hungerford Town Swifts whose scorers were Tommy Stockwell (4), Craig Spules and Dan Chamberlain.

Joe Ledbury also scored four times as Division 3 leaders Grove Rangers strolled to a 10-0 victory at Hanney 66 Club from Division 5.

In Division 1, Dorchester were knocked off the top, beaten 4-2 at home by Abingdon Town, with strikes from Richard Morgan, Rob Lightfoot, Tom Srawley and an own goal making up their tally.

Rob Hudson and Josh Nicholls netted for Dorchester.

Drayton went down to a 5-2 defeat at Kintbury Rangers as the home side returned to the top.

Shaun Thorp netted a hat-trick with Charlie Allsop and Adam Drake also on target for the leaders. Ashley Seamark and Ryan Seamark replied.

Berinsfield stay second on goal difference following a 3-1 comeback win at Watlington Town.

Zach Gallagher gave the home side the lead, but a Dan Osborne double and a Chris Murphy goal gave Berinsfield victory. Pete Ashman missed a penalty for Watlington.

Ashley Searle failed to equal a consecutive scoring record of seven matches on the trot, but Wallingford Town still won 3-1 at Long Wittenham Athletic.

Tom Baptie, Craig Passey and Connor Mattimore netted for the visitors, Lewis Monaghan replying.

Jonny Eudell (2) and Adam Hogan saw Ardington & Lockinge to a 3-1 home win over Faringdon Town for whom Jamie Hopgood struck.

Saxton Rovers were beaten 4-2 at Crowmarsh Gifford with goals from James Lee, Jon Fanstone, Jordan Sandiford and Daryl Franklin.

Gary Belcher and Sean Smith replied.

Westminster’s unbeaten record ended as they were hammered 9-0 at Burghclere in Division 2.

Kye Franklin notched a hat-trick, Alex Smith scored twice and there were also goals for Jamie Gannon, Chris Miller, John Taylor and Darren Tobin. Ben Sutton scored a three-timer for East Hendred in their 5-2 win at Coleshill United.

Liam McCullough and Mike Farrelly also netted with Ian Wilmer and James Head responding for basement side Coleshill.

Faringdon Town Res picked up their first home win with a 3-2 victory over Sutton Courtenay.

Stuart Finnigan, Christian Wills and James Tyler scored their goals with Mike Hooton and Will Wright replying for Sutton.

Saxton Rovers Res moved off the bottom with a 1-1 draw at home to Marcham, Mike Smith scoring for Saxton and Dave Yallop replying.
