A battling performance from Horspath earned them a 3-3 draw at Chalgrove in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division, despite falling behind three times.

The home side raced to an early lead when Robert Brown played in Simon Godfrey for a quick opener, but were pegged back by a Jay Hill effort.

Paul Coles prodded home to restore Chalgrove’s lead, but the sides went in level at the break after Horspath were awarded a penalty for handball, which was dispatched by Tom Chase.

Rich Barlow put the home side in front for a third time, but Anthony Clarke headed home a third leveller.

Oxford University Press were twice pegged back as they drew 2-2 at home to Adderbury Park.

Neil Lockhart fired the hosts into the lead after 15 minutes, but Park equalised on the stroke of half-time when a free-kick rattled around the OUP box before Dan Greaves scored.

In Division 1, Garsington got off to a sensational start to the campaign with a 7-1 crushing of North Oxford.

The visitors were already 1-0 up thanks to Neil McMahon when injuries forced North Oxford to make costly changes and clinical Garsington took advantage.

Colin Ryan netted twice, Jelroy Constant added a fourth, McMahon bagged his second, Jake Chambers made it six and an own goal completed the seven-goal rout.

Luke Trotman scored the home side’s solitary consolation effort.

Middleton Cheney secured a 2-0 win at Kidlington Old Boys.

Mike Springall put the visitors in front with a penalty in the second half, and Paul Carter capitalised on a defensive howler to seal the points.

Two late goals gave Easington Sports Res a 2-0 win over Northway.

Chris Tilcock slotted home a penalty in the 70th minute and Mark Trusler netted from close range seven minutes from time.

In Division 2, Adderbury Park Res won 4-2 at home to Oakley Res.

They fell behind early on when Tom Gore netted on the rebound, before David Seeney equalised for the hosts and goals from Sam Ginger and Chris Clark gave them a commanding lead.

Johnny Clark pulled one back for Oakley, but Daniel Butler made the points safe for Adderbury late on.
