7:00am Wednesday 7th May 2014

Hailey Res’ saw their Witney & District FA Division 1 title dreams disappear as they lost 4-2 away to Bourton Rovers.

Needing to win to deny leaders Brize Norton the crown, Hailey got off to a poor start as Craig Gilson and Matt Winter put the hosts 2-0 up.

Although Hailey levelled through Mo Semlali and Steve Holder, two late goals from Adam Welby and Sam Mattock sealed Hailey’s fate.

Shane Probitts and Nathan Kelly each bagged a brace as Kirtlington sealed third place in Division 2 with a 9-0 home thrashing of FC Mills.

Ryan Moran-Ross, Daryll Collins, James Buller and Danny Woodley were among their other scorers.

Bampton United sealed promotion with a 4-0 win against Division 3 champions Carterton B, with a Nathan Beckett double. Conor O’Shea and Tom Madden sealed it.

Wootton missed a last-minute penalty as they lost out on promotion in a 1-1 draw with Spartan Rangers Res. Steve Wright cancelled out an earlier own goal from Spartan.

Hailey beat hosts Charlbury 3-1 in the Senior Cup quarter-finals, with Luke Manning, Ian Steele and Jacob Hambidge on target. Steve Fitzgerald hit back.

Brize Norton Res won the Jack Busby Cup with a 3-1 win against Spartan Rangers Res at Carterton.

Matthew Howard put them ahead, only for Jason King to level.

But second-half goals from Paul Morrison and Scott Peaper sealed it.

Carterton Rangers fought back from 2-0 down as they defeated North Leigh A 4-3 in the Junior Cup semi-final at Clanfield.

A Craig Greenhalgh brace gave North Leigh a seemingly comfortable 2-0 half-time lead.

However, goals from Lee Keyes (2) and Chris Balfe put Rangers ahead.

Although Max Godwin responded, Rich Meredith sealed it.

Div 3: Minster Lovell Res 2 (N Bowles, N Crozier), Middle Barton 1 (J Umney).
