Leaders Dorchester completed their North Berks League Division 1 campaign with a 3-2 victory at Long Wittenham Athletic – and must now wait to see if they are champions.

Callum Bowler and Lewis Monaghan netted for Wittenham, but Josh Nicholls hit a hat-trick for Dorchester to leave the visitors awaiting the results of their title rivals in the coming weeks.

Kintbury remain firm favourites, as they need just four points from five games.

Berinsfield finished their programme with an entertaining 3-3 draw at Crowmarsh Gifford.

David Murphy, David Smyth and Brian Rawlings scored the visitors’ goals, but two from James Lee and a Jordan Sandiford effort gave Crowmarsh a share of the points.

Faringdon Town drew 2-2 at home to Saxton Rovers in a mid-table clash.

Goals from Liam Humphries and Mike van der Mortel for the home side were cancelled out by Louis Bloomfield and Lloyd Callaghan strikes for the visitors.

Abingdon United Res stretched their lead at the top of Division 2 to six points with a 3-1 win at Steventon.

Shane Butlin put the hosts in front, but Adam Greenaway, Aaron Andrews and Danny Cox replied to give Abingdon the win.

Title rivals Wantage Town A slipped to a shock 2-1 defeat at home to in-form Drayton.

Dave Richardson scored for Wantage, but a 25-yard screamer from was Ryan Seamark and a winner from Danny Curran were enough to move Drayton up to third in the table.

In Division 3, strugglers Clanfield 85 Res crashed 4-1 at home to Stanford in the Vale.

Jamie Gregory (2), Luke Rodriguez and Kieran McCarthy did the damage for the hosts. Roger James was on target for Clanfield.

Jordan West scored twice for Dorchester Res alongside a Josh Axtell strike at home to basement side Milton United Res, but their efforts were cancelled out as a Rhys Griffiths brace and a Warren McCabe effort secured a 3-3 draw.

The race for second place in Division 4 was blown wide open as Benson AFC completed their season with a 2-0 defeat at East Hendred Res.

Dan Sayers’ brace gave the hosts victory, leaving the door open for Grove Rangers to seize second spot if they can win by three goals or more in their final match.

Grove’s 5-3 home win over Berinsfield Res kept them in contention, Matt Cramp grabbing a brace alongside goals from Grant Summersbee, Dan Cannings and Joe Courtney.

Dan Osborne struck twice and Jack Hastings also netted in reply.

Kennington Athletic kept their hopes of a second-placed finish alive with a 2-1 home win over Long Wittenham Athletic Res, with goals from Alex Crossan and Jay Morris. Andy Sutherland replied.

Steventon Res lost 1-0 at home to Stanford in the Vale Res, who kept up their bid to snatch the Division 5 title from rivals Uffington United.

Dan Garlic scored the winner.
