TWO goals from hot-shot Josh McInnerney and a strike from Toby Webster gave Dorchester a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Long Wittenham Athletic to extend their lead to five points at the top of Division 1, writes PHIL ANNETS.

Matt Saunders and JR Willis were on target for Wittenham.

Danny Sayer scored a dramatic injury time winner to seal a 5-4 comeback victory for East Hendred over their close Division 2 rivals Coleshill United in a match that was significantly impacted by high winds.

James Head, with two, Lee Mason and Lee Andrews with a penalty all registered for visiting Coleshill.

But these were offset by goals from Gareth Cooper, Marc Reid, and Mike Farrelly.

Ben Hummel equalised in the last minute of normal time for Hendred before Sayer’s last gasp winner.

Doubles for Charles Selwood and Camden Laver alongside an Andy Hayes strike gave Benson AFC a comfortable 5-1 win at home to bottom side Hagbourne United, a victory that lifts them to the top of Division 4.

Stuart Goodenough hit the consolation for Hagbourne.

There was an upset in each of the two AG Kingham Cup quarter-final matches ensuring a Division 4 side will contest the final later in the season.

Long Wittenham Athletic Res won 3-2 at Division 2 Saxton Rovers Res, courtesy of Callum Bowler, Richard Taylor and Dejan Jones’s goals.

Mike Quinan and Lloyd Callaghan netted for Saxton, who felt aggrieved to have a third ‘goal’ wiped out.

Charlie Jamieson notched a hat-trick for Berinsfield Res as they defeated their higher league local rivals Dorchester Res 6-3.

Jon Welch, Mennan Calvo and Richard Hastings were also among the goals.

Josh Axtell, with two, and James Stimpson scored in vain for the Division 3 side.The two winners now face each other for a final spot.
