JAMES Watkins’s brace helped Mansfield Road maintain their Premier Division title bid with a 4-0 victory at Adderbury Park.

Park had Mark Essex and James Trevitt sent off for second bookings when the visitors were 3-0 ahead.

The hosts felt Watkins should also have been dismissed, but he had the final say with a solo effort to wrap up Mansfield’s win.

Cameron Knight and Jamie Cockfield completed the scoring for the second-placed side.

Leaders Oakley came on strong in the closing stages to win 2-0 at home to Chalgrove.

Chalgrove held out until the 82nd minute when big defender Mitch Meredith prodded home.

Three minutes later, Meredith headed home his second from a corner.

Launton Sports held on to triumph 3-2 at Horspath.

Ben Dawe opened the scoring for Launton, but Rob Cattell headed home Aaron Laman’s corner to level.

Dawe and Andy Gledhill put Launton 3-1 ahead before Noel Fox pulled one back and Horspath twice went close late on.

Aaron Armstrong earned Riverside a 2-1 victory in a scrappy contest at Stonesfield.

Carly Bloomfield put Riverside ahead, only for Matt Tarry to equalise, but Armstrong sealed it with 20 minutes to go.

Andy Glossop’s late strike earned a Eynsham a 4-3 success at home to Charlton United in a Division 1 thriller.

Will Morris put Eynsham ahead after just 68 seconds and then added a second.

Jamie Hodges made it 3-0, but Charlton hit back in style.

Danny Sweeney scored two penalties and completed his treble in the second half.

However, Mark McGrogan missed a spot kick after Sweeney had gone off injured and Glossop had the final say.

Kidlington Res won 4-2 at Middleton Cheney, having gone 3-0 up inside 20 minutes.

Simon Grossman, Max Dunmall and Kieran Strange netted early on for Kidlington, but Leon Edwards and Dan Smith replied before half-time.

Cheney missed further chances before James Morris wrapped it up for Kidlington.

Basement boys Eynsham Res equalised three times to draw 3-3 at fifth-placed Mansfield Road Res in Division 2.

Alex Lemnah put Mansfield ahead, with Ian Law equalising for Eynsham.

James Pryse and George Greening continued the sequence, while Mansfield’s Rob Pryse needed hospital treatment for an injury.

Paul Davies made it 3-2, but Adam Woolford levelled for Eynsham.

In Division 3, third-placed Launton Sports Res had to be content with a 3-3 draw at home to leaders North Oxford Res, despite having led 2-0.

Luke Moss and Michael Woodward put Launton 2-0 ahead at the break, but Luke Trotman and James Manning (2) turned the tables.

However, Lea White pounced to equalise for Launton.

Josh Hunt earned Broughton & North Newington Res a 1-1 draw at Charlton United Res.

Zak Blackman had opened the scoring for Charlton.

Yarnton Res collected their first victory of the season with a 4-1 triumph against winless Watlington Res.

Jason Buck, Carl Heaven, Mark Harris and Harry Taylor netted for Yarnton.

Sam Carter replied via a penalty to make it 3-1, but Watlington have lost six out of six so far.
