Defending champions West Witney saw off Brize Norton 3-1 on penalties after their clash ended 1-1.

The visitors led through Pawel Bronk after 15 minutes, but Karl Dodds took the game to spot-kicks.

Chipping Norton Town also won on penalties, ousting Bourton Rovers after their game finished 2-2.

The visitors led via Sam Mattock and Matty Winter, but brothers Andy and Richard McCabe scored to take the game to extra time.

Minster Lovell enjoyed a 3-1 victory at Aston.

Last year’s beaten finalists, Carterton Rangers, fell at the first hurdle, losing 3-1 at Charlbury.

Two goals from Shaun Gilbert and one from Mark Fitzgerald saw Charlbury through, with James Barker’s strike proving in vain for Carterton.

Spartan Rangers Res maintained their perfect start to the season with a 3-1 win at home to Ducklington A in Division 3.

A 35-yard lob from Gavin Kominek then put Spartan in front and a late Jason King tap-in sealed the three points.

Aston beat Eynsham Sports & Social Club Res 5-3 as the leading two sides clashed in Division 4.

There were doubles for Aston’s Matt Wood and Dan Isherwood, with Ben Waldron getting the other goal. John Griffiths (2) and Kevin Webb netted as Eynsham lost their 100 per cent record.

The two pre-season title favourites were in action as Tower Hill hosted Corinthians, with Tower romping home 8-2.

Leading scorer Jamie Goodwin bagged a brace, added to strikes by Adam Bolley, Gary Smith, Joe Brown, Luke James, George French and James Gough.

Corinthians had only a double from Dan Smith to show for their efforts.

James and Henry Macke scored the others, with Adrian Underhill replying.

Chadlington Res gained their first point from a 2-2 home draw with Wootton Res.

Rory Shadbolt and Adam Hunt scored for the home side, with Paul Biggam and Fraser Scott replying.

A double from Dan Bilton and one goal from John Bignell helped Hollybush Res defeat Bampton Utd Res 3-2.
