Oxford City celebrate beating Cambridge
OXFORD City boss Mike Ford heaped praise on his team following their 1-0 victory against Cambridge City last night.
Chris Willmott scored the only goal as City went through to the Southern League Premier Division play-off final against AFC Totton, which will take place at their Court Place Farm ground on Monday (3).
“I’m very pleased for my players that they produced a performance,” said Ford.
“I thought we were better than them over the 90 minutes. We had a look at them first-half and some of the young lads were overawed.
“Second half we were totally dominant for 25 minutes and could have had a few more.
“We showed we can play on the big occasion.”
