Abingdon United boss Richie Bourne could give a debut to former Didcot Town striker Danny Seaward when they travel to Paulton Rovers in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West.

Seaward, who was released by the Railwaymen earlier this month, willbe added to the squad negotiations prove successful “Danny is a goal threat and his movement is terrific,” he said. “He’s very mobile and creates spaces and opportunities for other player. I think he could work well with Sam Collier. He would be a good acquisition.”

Aaron Parfitt returns from suspension.

Meanwhile, Didcot manager Dave Mudge wants his players to keep up the good work at second-placed Hungerford Town.

Last weekend, they were held to a draw by fifth-placed Cinderford and Mudge says a similarly determined display is needed against Hungerford.

Mudge watched the Berkshire outfit on Tuesday as his side’s trip to Tiverton was called off due to waterlogging.

“It will be difficult because they have a decent squad with a big budget,” said Mudge.

“Hungerford are flying, but we have shown that if we are right on it, we can get something from the game.”

Although Didcot appear safe from relegation, Mudge said no one could afford to relax.

He added: “My first job was keeping us up and it looks like we’re going to do that, but until we are mathematically safe, talking about escaping relegation isn’t on the agenda.”

Didcot are without Charlie Hill (broken foot) and Tom Mudge (unavailable).

North Leigh entertain basement boys Stourport.
