ARDLEY United and Wantage Town bid to reach the preliminary round of the Emirates FA Cup this weekend.
Both sides started their Uhlsport Hellenic League campaigns earlier this week and now turn their attentions to the country’s oldest cup competition.
Ardley, who beat Easington Sports 2-1 in Division 1 West on Tuesday night, host Hertfordshire side Baldock Town, of Spartan South Midlands League Division One, in the extra preliminary round.
Wantage also began their season with a win during midweek, beating Binfield 2-0 in the Premier Division.
The Freds make the trip to the Forest of Dean tomorrow to take on league rivals Lydney Town.
Meanwhile, the county’s Evo-Stik South sides continue their preparations for the new season with a host of friendlies.
Premier outfit Banbury United take on Mangotsfield United, while South West’s Didcot Town face Cwmbran Celtic.
Newly-promoted Thame Town, who are in the East division, host Kidlington, now of the West.
