DIDCOT Town were beaten 2-1 by Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West champions Hereford tonight.

The game, replayed behind closed doors after their first match was abandoned with two minutes to go, was settled by a goal from former Didcot striker John Mills.

The hosts took the lead in the third minute through Ben Whitehead’s brilliant volley.

Hereford equalised just before half-time when Jamie Molyneux fired home.

The visitors sealed victory when Mills scored from the spot after being brought down by keeper Leigh Bedwell.

North Leigh beat Yate Town 2-1 thanks to goals from George Seacole and a Michael Hopkins penalty.
