OXFORD City plan to frustrate high-flying Maidenhead United when they travel to the league leaders tonight.
Mark Jones’s side make the short trip to Berkshire on the back of a 2-1 defeat at home to East Thurrock United in Vanarama National League South on Saturday.
Individual errors proved costly and the caretaker boss knows City can ill-afford a repeat against Maidenhead, whose top-scorer Dave Tarpey has 35 league goals to his name this season.
Jones said: “Our gameplan is to frustrate them and put in a disciplined performance.
“We’ll try and cause one or two problems on the break, but it would be naive to think we can go and match them.
“If we went there with that attitude we would be severely punished.”
Striker Jefferson Louis (bruised ribs) and centre back Jean-Yves Niate (knee) are both doubts.
