APPEARING in the first round of the Buildbase FA Trophy is an achievement North Leigh should feel proud of, according to manager John Brough.

The Millers make their debut at this stage of the competition tomorrow when they travel to Surrey-based South Park – who are also breaking new ground after shocking Oxford City in the previous round.

“Reaching the first round is a big achievement for any club at this level,” said Brough.

“It’s the first time we’ve done it, so we’ve already achieved more in this competition than we ever have done in the past.

“Obviously we’d love to win it – I want to win every game, whether it’s a training match, a friendly, or a big cup tie.”

Striker Jamie Cook is set for a return after being rested for Tuesday night’s 3-3 draw at home to Hereford, while full-back James Fawke is also back after recovering from a hamstring injury.

However, Jon Else (hamstring) remains sidelined, while Matt Sysum and Bradley Gray are cup-tied.

While the Millers have beaten higher-league Folkestone Invicta and Kingstonian to reach this stage, tomorrow’s Ryman League Division 1 South hosts are less of a scalp.

But Brough is not yet ready to relinquish the underdog status which has served his side well so far.

He said: “With them at home, I think it makes them the slight favourites.

“It’s slightly unfamiliar surroundings for us and they’ll be confident on their own ground, but we like the underdog tag.”
