CALLUM McNish is expected to make his Didcot Town debut away to Swindon Supermarine in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West tomorrow.

The midfielder signed for the Railwaymen last week after leaving North Leigh, but was not involved as they extended their winning run to four games.

Player-manager Andy Ballard, who played with McNish at Oxford City, is excited by the addition.

He said: “Callum will certainly strengthen the side.”

“It’s a great signing for us and it shows the direction the club is going in that we’re able to bring in a player of his ability.

“He’s got real quality, scores goals and works incredibly hard in the centre of the park.”

Declan Benjamin (calf), Sam Barder (rib) and Jack Longford (knee) are injured.

Wantage Town are without the suspended Cameron McNeil and Stuart Cattell as they travel to Paulton Rovers.

“It’s a bit of a kick in the teeth, but it gives someone else the chance to prove their worth,” said player-manager Cattell.

Adam Doyle (knee), Jake Johns (groin) and Tai Hulbert-Thomas (hernia) are injured, but the Alfredians welcome Todd Hathaway and Mason Thompson back to the side.

Banbury United’s Premier Division clash at home to Basingstoke Town has been postponed due to their opponents’ involvement in the Buildbase FA Trophy.

It means new signing Sam Humphreys will have to wait for his full debut after joining from Hayes & Yeading United.

The former Oxford United midfielder played the final 20 minutes as the Puritans were beaten 1-0 at home to Dunstable Town on Tuesday.

Kidlington are also without a game in Division 1 Central this weekend, as scheduled opponents Royston Town are in FA Trophy action.

The Greens defeated third-placed Marlow 3-0 on Wednesday evening thanks to goals from Jack Dunmall, Elliott Osborne-Ricketts and Anaclet Odhiambo.
