ANDY Ballard believes he has at last found the perfect balance between youth and experience at Didcot Town as they look to continue their revival away to Slimbridge tomorrow.

The form of forward Jordan Graham, who has extended his loan from Oxford United until January after scoring in each of the last two games, as well as the arrival of Reading loanee Conor Davis, has proven pivotal for the Railwaymen.

And the Didcot player-manager said he was thrilled with how the teenagers had taken to life in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West.

“One thing about having young players involved is that they’re not scared of anything,” said Ballard.

“We went to Hereford and played in front of 3,000 and it didn’t faze them at all.

“It’s refreshing and it gives the whole team a bit of a lift.

“We’ve got a good blend at the moment, because as well as those two and a couple of our own youngsters, we’ve also got some older heads like myself and James Organ, who bring a bit of experience and leadership to the side.”

Jack Longford remains out with a knee injury, but Ryan Barney could feature after recovering from a knee problem of his own.

North Leigh have signed Oxford United Under 18s goalkeeper Emmanuel Agboola on a work experience loan ahead of their trip to Wimborne Town.

Manager John Brough moved to bring in the 18-year-old after regular goalkeeper Conor Thompson sustained a hamstring problem.

“I’ve got a very good relationship with (Oxford coach) Chrissy Allen and Manny comes here very highly-rated,” said Brough.

“I’m sure he’ll prove to be a very useful signing for us.”

Bradley Gray returns to the Millers squad after being cup-tied last weekend, but Jamie Cook remains out with a knee injury.

Wantage Town entertain Mangotsfield United, looking for their first league win of the season.

Banbury United manager Mike Ford warned his players against complacency as they travel to Cirencester Town in the Premier Division.

The Puritans have already beaten tomorrow’s hosts twice in cup competitions this season, delivering a 6-1 thrashing in the Emirates FA Cup before squeezing through on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the Southern League’s Challenge Cup.

But Ford expects a difficult challenge this weekend.

“They’ve changed their manager recently and that inevitably means a change of players, system and shape,” he said.

“It’ll certainly be more difficult than in the FA Cup.

“We found that out just a couple of weeks later when we needed penalties to beat them.”

In Division 1 Central, Kidlington travel to Bedford Town.

While Kristian Thomas remains sidelined with ankle ligament damage, the Greens welcome back Ryan Brooks, Mark Flanagan and Jack Dunmall from injury.

It means boss Julian McCalmon has some difficult selection decisions to make this weekend.

He said: “It’s the first time since I came in that we’re going to have to disappoint a few who won’t be part of the squad this weekend.

“It’s not just about the starting XI and what we’ve been trying to do is make it as competitive here as possible, so I’m delighted.”
