AN injury-time penalty denied Didcot Town victory at Bishops Cleeve as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Kayte Lane.

Jack Horrell’s 93rd minute spot-kick denied the Railwaymen their first away win in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West.

Didcot thought they had taken the lead on 34 minutes, but Jordi Mulvany’s effort was disallowed for offside.

Ben Whitehead and Jordan Graham went close for the Railwaymen, before they took the lead on 79 minutes.

Luke Carnell rose highest to head home a Whitehead corner, despite the best efforts of defenders on the line.

The hosts pushed for an equaliser and Jack Watts hit a post, before they were awarded a penalty in the third minute of injury time.

Horrell stepped up to blast the ball past keeper Leigh Bedwell.

Wantage Town’s winless run stretched to nine games in all competitions following a 3-0 defeat at home to Tiverton Town.

The hosts started well, but Craig Duff gave the visitors the lead on 21 minutes.

Owen Howe’s quickfire double then ensured victory for Tiverton.

Kidlington lost 2-1 at home to Chalfont St Peter in the Division 1 Central.

The visitors went ahead shortly before half-time through Kofi Lockhart-Adams.

And just 15 seconds after the restart it was 2-0 thanks to Charlie Strutton.

Eddie Odhiambo’s 62nd minute header gave Kidlington hope, but they were unable to find an equaliser.

ARDLEY United recorded their biggest win of the season in beating Ascot United 5-0 in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.

Reece Bayliss (2), Leam Howards, Bradley Cox and Jack Heap scored.

Letcombe fell to a 3-1 defeat at Purton in Division 1 West.

Luke Faircloth equalised for Letcombe after Aaron Stevens’ opener.

Faircloth was then sent off for handling in the area and Joseph Herbert scored from the spot, before Matt Bennett wrapped up the victory.
