AN extra-time own goal from Godfrey Poku sent Oxford City crashing out of the Emirates FA Cup tonight.

The full back unluckily lobbed Jack Stevens in stoppage time at the end of the first period of extra time to give Bath City a 2-1 win.

They now travel to Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 Central side Potters Bar Town in the third qualifying round.

Mike Fondop had headed Justin Merritt’s side into a 21st-minute lead at Marsh Lane, only for Frankie Artus to level five minutes later.

Both sides hit the woodwork, but neither could find a breakthrough in normal time.

Bath were forced to play the last 16 minutes of normal time a man down following Shaquille Hunter’s red card, but still managed to grind out victory.

Fondop gave City an early advantage with a perfectly-placed header from a Tom Winters cross.

But Artus soon equalised, getting the final touch from a corner.

Marvin Morgan, scorer of a late equaliser on Saturday, fired against the bar for Bath on 36 minutes.

Two minutes after the break, City should have taken the lead, but Fondop shot against a post and Tom Winters fired wide from the rebound.

Morgan struck the woodwork again on 66 minutes after a good save from Stevens, before Hunter was sent off for lashing out at Freddie Grant.

But City could not make the extra man count and Poku’s own goal gave Bath victory.
