OXFORD City were unable to climb back into the play-off places after losing 2-1 at home to Truro City last night.
The defeat leaves Justin Merritt's side sixth in Vanarama National League South and two points behind Maidenhead United who occupy the last spot.
Goals from Isaac Vassell and Matt Wright put Truro into a 2-0 lead after 14 minutes.
Marlon Jackson replied just before the break, but they were unable to find an equaliser.
City will be looking to bounce back when they make the trip to Bishops Stortford on Saturday.
