LEADERS Banbury United returned to winning ways with a 3-1 success at Slimbridge in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West.
The Puritans bounced back from their 7-1 thumping at Taunton Town to maintain their one-point lead over Cinderford Town, who have five games in hand.
After an uneventful opening half hour, top-scorer Ricky Johnson gave the Puritans the lead on 37 minutes.
And it was 2-0 at the break when Leam Howards scored after Darius Browne saw his shot saved.
Slimbridge pulled a goal back on 56 minutes through Adam Mace’s 20-yard effort.
But Banbury wrapped up the points when substitute Felipe Barcelos fired home with six minutes to go.
