LEIGH Bedwell returns in goal for Didcot Town this evening for the trip to Taunton Town in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West.

The Railwaymen make the long trip to Somerset with their first choice goalkeeper back after a three-match ban and boss Andy Ballard believes he is a major asset.

“He’s one of, if not the best goalkeeper in the division, in my opinion,” said Ballard.

“We’re very lucky to have him in our side and I expect he will slot straight back in and play an important role between now and the end of the season.”

Stand-in Billy Collings, who conceded just once during his three games in goal, has returned to parent club Reading.

Defender Jack Longford is suspended and midfielder Graham Edney is unavailable, while Lewis Noble retains his place in the squad after coming in from the reserves for Saturday’s 7-0 win over Bashley.
