Lance Williams has traded Didcot Town for rivals North Leigh in a bid for promotion from Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West.

The midfielder is due to come into the Millers side tomorrow afternoon at struggling Bridgwater Town as they look to pick up where they left off last year, following back-to-back postponements.

Manager Mark Gee said: “We’ve got a lot of flair players in our side and sometimes you need to complement those in the middle of the park with someone who is going to win his battles."

Didcot entertain Slimbridge tomorrow and manager Andy Ballard admitted it was a blow to have lost a key player.

“I’m gutted he’s gone,” said Ballard.

“He’s a good friend of mine. There are no hard feelingsand we wish him all the best.”

However, the Railwaymen are boosted by the return of striker Mark Francis from a knee injury and defender Jack Longford from suspension.

Relegation-threatened Wantage Town are back to full strength as they travel to second-placed Taunton Town.

Manager Stuart Cattell is back in the Alfredians’ defence after injury along with Josias Carbon.

Carl Evans also returns for Wantage, while midfielder Jake Johns is back from suspension.
