WANTAGE Town have named Stuart Cattell as interim manager for tomorrow’s trip to Bishops Cleeve.

The Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West strugglers saw manager Daniel Barry and assistant Ian Lovegrove resign after last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to Wimborne Town.

“The job over the last few weeks has been very difficult, so something had to give,” said Barry in a statement.

“Ian and myself feel the team need a fresh approach and we hope someone new can take the team forward and build on what we have started.”

And 27-year-old defender Cattell will fill the void on an interim basis, assisted by Graham Lee and Ben Whitehead.

Striker Kieran Sanders returns as North Leigh look to reclaim top spot at home to Evesham United.

Illness prevented Sanders from being involved on Tuesday night as the Millers enjoyed a 2-0 triumph at Shortwood United.

Aaron Woodley (knee) is North Leigh’s only absentee.

Banbury United are out to complete an early double over Yate Town, as they look to follow up last month’s 3-1 away win in the FA Trophy with a league win at home.

“It was a very tight game and they’re a decent side, so we must stand up to them and make sure we impose our style on them,” said manager Mike Ford.

“The word is out now and teams know how we’re going to play and will set out to stop that.

“But we have to keep going and playing as we can.”

Louis Joyce returns, but Charlie Wise (hamstring), Ricky Johnson (shoulder), Mark Bell (calf) and Jack Westbrook (glandular fever) are all sidelined for the Puritans.
